Who’s Representing For You????

27 04 2011

On the WTCM Morning Show today, we talked about gas prices.   4.18 per gallon today, throughout most of Northern Michigan.  Crazy.  Time to let your elected officials go to work for you.  You employ them after all.  If you’d like to contact one or more, here are a few to get you started.  I’m sending along links and phone numbers because many of the websites do not accept e-mails until you personally enter your zip code.   (For a broader scope, see www.house.michigan.gov)

Thank you to everyone who came on the WTCM Caribbean Cruise!  Oh boy…we had a good time.  I have hundreds of photos to go through, and our friend Ken Shultz is putting together a video of some of the highlights.  If you’d like to submit some photos or video clips for him to use, drop him an e-mail at k_dshultz@hotmail.com!  Meantime, give me a little time to wade thru the pics and I’ll post a whole batch of them soon.  :)

An Exceptional Week End

25 10 2010

Those of you who know me, know that I have been a Neil Young fan for forever and a day.  I lived out a little dream this past week end, when I met up with a dear friend in San Francisco to see the annual Bridge School Benefit Concert (organized by Neil Young, and always including a performance by Neil).  It far surpassed my already-high expectations…so, so good!

Why am I telling you this?  Well, partly because I think you’d like to know, but also to encourage you to make your bucket list and start doing the things you’ve always wanted to.   Life is short.   Live it up!

xo

Oldest Search and Rescue Dog Retires

3 09 2010

Jack and I talked this morning, about the beautiful Golden Retriever , Val the National Disaster Search Dog in Montebello, CA , who is retiring after 13 years of service…and his replacement, Rico, who’s a three year old black lab who’ll be FEMA-certified this month.  Thought you might like to see a photo of these two heros.
